Aloha! I'm back at with a new blog post, this time about how to see K-Pop concerts in Japan! There are a few ways you can go through the process of getting a ticket, and I'll list the options below.
I have done, 3 out of the 5 options I've listed above and I'll give you a rundown of the positives and negatives of each options. 1. Joining a fan club Pros:
I personally have only bought into the SHINee Fandom so I haven't experienced buying tickets through fan clubs quite yet. 2. Convenience Stores I haven't done a convenience store one yet, but it is possible to buy tickets at the machines at convenience stores such as Lawson and Family Mart. These ones are a raffle as well, so be prepared for that. If you're going for a super popular group, be prepared because the machines may crash on you. You can also use the convenience store websites. I'll make another post showing detailed instructions on how to buy it from a convenience store. Pros:
3. Websites like pia.jp I have done this twice, for my BoA & TVXQ concert. BoA was first come first serve to decide who got tickets, TVXQ was a raffle based system. The website is rather simple to navigate (Google Translate for websites gives you the gist of what information to put). If you get the ticket, you'll receive an email saying you must pay at the nearest convenience store within a certain time limit. Pros:
4. Online fan-based communities I've done this twice, for the Taemin & SMTown Concert. This a rather simple process, but just make sure they're a legit person. I check by the amount of followers & people they're following to see if they're a real person. Just be careful because some will rip you off. I will admit, I totally got ripped off from the Taemin concert which sorta annoys me, but hey, at least I got to see him. Pros:
5. SMTown Global Package Probably THE most stress-free process of buying tickets, especially as a foreigner. HOWEVER, it's the most expensive deal. I did one with the EXO concert because I was not going to deal with competitive EXO-Ls. This Shawol was not ready for that stress. Pros:
I'll definitely do an in-depth detail about all the methods I've done so far, but this is a general overview and guide to hopefully help all you foreigners out! Have a wonderful day and I hope this helps you out~! ♡
